JOURNALISM

Need a journalist who can dig up stories, understand and translate jargon, file on time, has contacts and sources, knows more than the automatic settings on a camera AND can hand in grammatically perfect copy?

I am available for hire as a contractor or freelancer for journalism/media work. I currently write about science, technology, the environment and health but I have previously written features and have written about books, games, music, politics and popular culture.

I charge the MEAA rates which are $0.80 AUD per word or $800 AUD per 1000 words/per day. Initial quotes are free. I do not charge GST. You are welcome to discuss your budget requirements with me.

Email me or call me on +61 0419 925 300 between 8 am and 12 pm (weekdays only) and I will be only too happy to meet up with you to discuss your requirements.

EDITING

You have written out your document. You have read till you can’t focus any more but you know it still needs work. Maybe it’s just your basic grammar and spelling, a quick proofread, reshuffling sections and paragraphs so everything flows or someone who can check your references, handle copyright issues and even sort out indexes, glossaries and pictorial content. You need an editor.

I work on contract or as a freelancer. I can provide structural editing, copy editing and proofreading services for academic, business, general publication (such as magazines and newsletters), and government documents and fiction and non-fiction texts.

I charge a project fee for each document based on the scope of work involved and the service you require. An initial assessment and your quote is free. If you have any questions about the services or what you can expect, please read the Editorial Policy & FAQ.

To discuss your requirements, schedule a free quote and/or a free appointment, please email me or call me on +61 0419 925 300 between 8 am and 12 pm on weekdays.
