I know a lot of creative people and they often come to me with project ideas. These are the current projects I am involved in and the ones that are completed.

Neuroscience, noise and news: what and how errors of inaccuracy occur in neuroscience coverage by science journalists
This is my Masters of Communications thesis at ECU. It’s currently being examined but occasionally I post updates on the results of the research and what it means for science journalism practice.
6th IPEd National Editors Conference
I am convenor of the 6th IPEd National Editors Conference which will be held in Perth from 10-13 April in 2013. Attendance is open to all those in the communications industry and you can check the conference website for more information.
Light Refraction
This is my photography weblog. This is a hobby and a means of keeping my skills updated. It is updated sporadically and is dependent on my camera working. Photojournalism shots are posted along with the articles they are published with as part of my portfolio, not as part of the photo blog.
How To Write A Book Group
The group is hosted on the Emergen networking website. It is free to view the content and free to sign up to the website if you wish to comment. The founder – Alicia Curtis – asked me to run a writing group and that was it. I write posts on topics related to writing or answering questions that people put to me via the comments and emails. People are free to comment and disagree with what I post or to attempt to follow along.
PAST PROJECTS
Frocktober 2010
Frocktober is a challenge to wear nothing but dresses every day for the month of October. People sponsor you to do so and the money raised goes to fund ovarian cancer research. People host dinners and parties or post a picture every day on a blog. These are the posts from the 2010 challenge that I was part of, along with my sister.
