Review of Mark Hilton’s New Album at RTR FM

Mark Hilton & The Lavender Girls: A Good Man

If you are interested, RTR FM has just published my latest music review online. I basically rock up to the station and pick the album that looks the nicest/most interesting out of a big cardboard box. I then take it home, listen to it, waste a lot of Post It Notes, review it, have a friend tell me to make it sound sexier, rewrite it and email it off to Dave Cutbush.

Incidentally, he is looking for more people to review music for the station. After it is emailed off, I wait a few weeks till the album is officially released in the shops which is when the review for that particular album turns up on the website. If I was more organised I would be reviewing albums at a rate of one a week.

So here is my review for one of the albums released this week. The artist is Mark Hilton who has collaborated with a trio called The Lavender Girls, though as far as I know they are male and have no connection whatsoever to lavender in shape, way or form. The album is called A Good Man. The best track? Never Forget You. To find out more, go to the RTR FM website and read the review. I doubt that I am allowed to reproduce it even in part here.

Cheers, Marisa
